BBC Studios Recognised as the Inaugural Studio of Distinction at MIPCOM CANNES
Created by RX France to mark a landmark achievement by a global studio or platform, the first Studio of Distinction Award will be presented to BBC Studios in the week that the BBC reaches the milestone of 100 years of public service broadcasting in the UK and 90 years internationally. The honour will be given further context through keynote addresses from senior executives at both MIPJUNIOR and MIPCOM CANNES.

Adapted by Ashley Pharoah (Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes) and Caleb Ranson (Child of Mine, Heartless), the series tells the story of the race around the world of an English gentleman, Phileas Fogg, who bets to do so in 80 days. Joined by his valet, Jean Passepartout, and a journalist, Abigail Fix, he will live incredible adventures during an extraordinary journey occurring in the 19th century.
