India as a creative hub

Animation, Visual Effects & Gaming

An acknowledged and diversified film making community,  a vast TV viewer base, 900 plus TV channels, 80 plus OTT platforms, a mobile-first video guzzling populace, and the impending launch of 5G services  makes India a very exciting market to do entertainment business in.

Over the past few years, India’s studios have been gaining plaudits from all over the world in creativity and beyond becoming the international center for projects and post-production.

India has stories to capture the attention of the world, has trained manpower, and houses latest technologies. It is in line to become the global hub of state-of-the-art animation and VFX IP generation.

The Union Government of India has been taking proactive steps to optimize India’s “New Technology”, with the upcoming national policy for the country’s animation, visual effects, gaming and comics (AVGC) sector, and a National Centre of Excellence (NCoE).

The stage is set for the booming market, but can Indian producers ensure the content explosion can reach the rest of the world? Come and meet content creators making a difference.
